Yumzilla!I first purchased this at my local Whole Foods. After I finished that first jar, I never found it again. Boy, am I glad I found it here on Amazon. It is so easy to use and delicious. It has very few ingredients but something about it is difficult to replicate. Maybe it's the smoked paprika? Regardless, the mix of brown sugar and herbs is a fantastic blend of sweet and savory. It complements salmon perfectly. I've only baked/broiled it in the oven, but I can't wait to throw some salmon on the grill with this rub.

The best damn chicken spice out there...As an avid cook and spice mix experimenter, my hat is off to Chef Tom and his 'Spice Girls' for creating a world-class chicken spice. This is one tangy and flavorful mix that blows the doors off anything similar one could find at a supermarket. Primary notes are paprika and brown sugar, but what my nose smells first is ancho chile and star anise.
This mix creates a light crust on the food and colors it brilliantly red. Surprisingly, it's also very good on the 'heavier', red-fleshed fish like salmon. Highly recommended along with Chef Tom's other standout product, Chef Tom Douglas Rub With Love Salmon Rub.

Brewing Tea Perfection Realized . . . AlmostThis tea steeper is perfect. Cleaning is a cinch, so far no staining; and believe me, I use this 3-4 times a day! I have definitely noticed a deeper flavor in my teas using this; in fact so, that I've had to cut back on the sugar because the teas don't taste so plain or dull.
Teavana, if you're listening, PLEASE MAKE A BIGGER SIZE ONE!!!!!!!!! PLEASE! This is such an excellent product, but unfortunately it does not make a full 32 oz, more like 30 oz. This is because the loose tea takes up room, diminishing the water. Bigger tea leaves result in even less tea, like 28 oz. A 35 oz or 36 oz tea steeper would solve this problem.
That minor annoyance, the best product on the market for tea steeping by far!

Fancy tea!The teas are very tasty. The tins appear to be air-tight, so the teas stay fresh for a long time. The gift box is cardboard, but sturdy. And really everything you need but a mug and some hot water are included in this gift set.
Two minor complaints:
The tea pot strainer is a bit tedious to clean. I can't figure a way to clean it without rinsing tea bits down the garbage disposal. So I don't use it at work where there isn't a garbage disposal.
I think the recommended amount of tea per cup is a bit high. I've cut back to about half their amounts and still get a very flavorful cup of tea.

through Amazon, and added one of their "free gift notes" to the order.
When I opened the package, I was greeted with a small orange envelope,
filled with what would be the best gift note I've ever seen. In addition
to a beautifully artful drawing of my internet handle and a cup of
coffee, attached was the note I had included, handwritten. For $30, I
received not only a pound of coffee with shipping, but effort and care
of which I have very rarely seen. I can't comment on the taste of the
coffee, as I've yet to try it (and I'm, gasp, not much of a coffee guy,)

Strangely AddictiveI received these from my spouse because I probably would never have bought them myself. Honestly, I was not very excited to try these. I mean, it's candy. Not only is it candy, it's milk chocolate, and candy (especially milk chocolate) should be sweet.
However, these chips bring together that perfect balance of savory versus sweet. Like chocolate covered pretzels, but better because they're potato chips! The little ridges help with the texture, I think that was key, or perhaps I am just biased towards ridged potato chips.
This plays out as a balance between flavors and textures. Sweet vs salty. Crunchy versus smooth. These chips are fantastic. It's one of those things that your mind says no, but after thinking about it, realize that it was in fact, a great idea.

Superb rub for pork and lamb...As a spice mix fan, I have to give a strong thumbs-up for Chef Tom's Pork Rub. The dominant notes in this mix are cumin, coriander, and chile. This isn't a hot mix per se - if you want to kick things up a notch, I'd recommend adding a dash of cayenne - but it is excellent. Only the two standout mixes that Chef Tom sells: Chef Tom Douglas Rub With Love Salmon Rub and Chef Tom Douglas Rub With Love Chicken Rub are better.
This is best on baby back ribs, lamb chops, and pork roast. I only remove a star because the mix isn't that versatile: it's not particularly suited for spicing up soup, chicken, or fish.
