| Features• Powershot camera looks set to become the new standard for underwater photographers wanting a top notch camera in a point-and-shoot underwater housing
Great UW Case for the Canon Powershot G11Excellent case, particularly for the price. I live on the Big Island where the reef is only a 15min drive, thus get to use my gear every few weeks. I bought the G11 as an everyday carry camera and a dive camera. The case is setup with a tray and a Sea&Sea YS-110 flash unit. Photo quality is excellent, challenging much larger DSLR cameras for quality in a unit that costs far less. The only major issue with using the G11 underwater is the relatively slow shutter response.
Unlike some cases, all controls are accessible, with the sole exception of the thumbwheel. To adjust values that require the thumbwheel, hold the shortcut button down and use the left and right buttons on the rocker to adjust up and down. A two hand workaround, but there is a way.
The case is better than previous WP-DC21 for the G9, some of the controls have been moved for better access for fat fingers in dive gloves. I have yet to accidentally power off the camera when trying to take a photo with this case.
Yes, the case has no warranty, expected in an underwater case where a small grain of sand or poor maintenance of the seals can cause a leak. If you can not afford to lose a camera, don't take it 30m underwater. Read more...

DiCaPac WP110This is absolutely fantastic product. I was looking for a underwater digital camera in unticipation of snorkeling trip. After checking multiple models, it became apparent that i'd have to settle for a pretty mediocre picture quality in exchange for water proof. Then I turned my attention to different pouches and cases that could protect my existing digital camera, Casio Exilim Z4 (4 MP), that typically produces very good pictures. I found DiCaPac WP110, and bought it for $25 (compare to waterproof cameras at $130-360). Took it for a trip, and couldn't be happier. It's light weight, has a clear polycarbonate film in front of the camera lens, it's body is made of very sturdy yet soft clear plastic which makes operating camera controls very easy. I took more than 400 underwater pictures in 6 days, most of them just stunning (clear plastic allowed for use of a flash whenever needed).
The pouch comes with a strap that is, in my opinion, useless. I instead used a sturdy rubber band around my wrist. Also, the camera tends to shift slightly inside the pouch. So, to avoid having a part of picture covered by the dark edges created by the lens cover, you'll need to adjust the camera position from time to time. I did not test it at any significant depth, as I only snorkeled, not scuba dove.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a low cost high quality waterproof camera case. Read more...

| Features• The Waterproof Case for the Powershot S-90. lets you take your camera safely out to sea in a boat, on a surfboard, in a kayak • Available in packs of four, these weights allow the camera to stay put for steady underwater photography
Excellent underwater caseThe case is great. It fits the S90 perfectly, and lets you operate all the controls with relative ease. You can turn the front control wheel, and you can *press* the rear control wheel in 5 different areas but not turn it. However, this is not a big disadvantage because you can still access all the features of the camera using various button presses, even if you can't turn that rear wheel. It's just a little slower.
Canon builds these cases for almost all their compact cameras, and they've got it down. You don't want to go around dropping the case on random rocks, but it's built pretty solidly, with thick plastic. It's not leaked on me, nor did I ever have any problems with the very similar case for my Canon S30 that I've used over the past 7 or 8 years.
The flash is pretty lousy -- it's blocked by the case, though the included diffuser helps this a bit. But if you do much underwater photography you're not going to want to use the onboard flash anyhow, and this problem is shared with every single other point-and-shoot case out there.
I wish it was wider angle -- the S90 goes pretty wide, but you lose a lot of this once you put it underwater. Some SLR housings have 'dome' windows rather than the flat piece of glass that this one has, and that allows you to get the full wide angle of the lens. Too bad Canon doesn't offer that option here. But considering the price and the rest of the functionality, it's still a bargain.
Note that Ikelite makes a 3rd-party case for the S90 which is pretty similar, but a little more flexible than Canon's: for instance, you can screw on a wide-angle adapter lens in front of their case. That setup would clearly be better... but by that point it's become triple the price of the Canon casing. If you're going to spend that kind of money, you may as well keep spending and buy a full underwater SLR setup.
Update: I have recently had a problem with the window fogging up *between the two front pieces of glass* -- that is, moisture which is internal in the case and can't be wiped away even from the inside. I assume this is an isolated problem with my unit, but I will edit this review if the problem returns. Read more...

| Features• For small underwater subjects, choose the Macro Mode. Move to within minimum focusing distance of your subject and depress the shutter button halfway. Then using the LCD monitor, move the camera to sharpen your image. Finally, press the shutter button all the way to take the picture. Utilize the flash diffusion plate on the case to ensure even underwater flash lighting • The first thing to master with wide-angle shots is keeping the water color blue. To keep water looking blue, first set the White Balance* - choose Daylight in shallow water and Cloudy for greater depths. Then, get below your subject. Aim upward towards the sky to create dramatic silhouettes • Panorama - First, select the Stitch Assist Mode on your PowerShot digital camera. Shoot a series of overlapping images. Then use the PhotoStitch Software, supplied with your camera, to automatically combine images into a breath-taking panorama on your computer • You can also use your Canon Waterproof Case on land in environments where snow, sand, excess humidity or dust could lead to damage. Ideal for skiing and many other activities, a Canon Waterproof or All-weather Case provide an added measure of safety for your PowerShot camera on land • Follow instructions for maintenance tips to optimize housing performance, for example - The O-ring is the water-tight barrier that seals the PowerShot Waterproof Case and prevents water from reaching your camera. It is critical that you properly prepare the O-ring before closing the Waterproof Case and taking your camera into the water
Works like it is, very comfortableI bought this just before I went to Hawaii to go scuba diving. I went up to 80 feet underwater and took pictures and made movies. There was no fogging in the lens. I didn't use the diffusion plate it was sunny and bright underwater. The pictures came out good just as if you took them on land. The camera is great with the underwater setting.
This is the second waterproof case I got. The first one is for an older camera like 6 years ago. I had issues with it like the fogging. This one didn't and I guess Canon found a way to eliminate that.
Here are two tips that I want to share with you other than make sure your battery is fully charged. 1) Set the camera to Underwater setting before you go under. If you want to take a picture above the water, like if you went snorkeling and want to take a picture of the beach from the water, you can easily switch to Auto. Then when you go back underwater, switch back to Underwater (Program). 2) When you make a movie, try to be a motionless body, moving only the camera. I find that while kicking the fins, both at the surface (snorkeling) or underwater (scuba diving) moves the camera too much that the image stabilization doesn't really work well. The more still you are, the better it looks like those underwater films you see on TV. Easier to zoom in and out.
The most important tip which I learned the hard way but quickly learned via the display after shooting. You MUST allow the camera to focus first before you shoot when it is in the case. Kinda hard when you see a fish or turtle underwater at the last second that you want to shoot before it swims away. That requires skill to allow a little planning.
I also brought it with me when we went to the fair and it was raining outside, I popped the camera in the case and took some fun pictures in the rain. Gotta live a little and have fun.
The buttons on the case is easy to use and everything the only thing that is the opposite is the Auto/Program/Movie switch. On the camera you, slide up for Auto and down for Movie. It is the opposite when it is in the case, you slide down for Auto and up for Movie, kinda hard to get it in Program. Just watch the display to see which setting it is on. Read more...
