| Generic as it gets!This is as generic and bland as rock music can get. This CD is immensely boring. This album basically embodies all the stereotypical radio rock elements you can image.
If you want the monotonous truck-commercial sounding riffs and awful wannabe-Pearl Jam sounding vocals, you have it all in this album.
There's honestly A LOT a band can do with 2 guitars, bass and drums. What drives a band to produce a CD of music which seriously sounds like it was made specifically for the radio? Probably money. Don't buy this album if you're a music fan. Leave this one for the casual radio listeners.

| Sassy and Smart DebutWhen I first heard a performance by this English duo on MTV's Palladia HD, I immediately thought wow, that's really catchy and different. Are they a one-hit wonder or do they have the talent to play with this unique, off-beat vibe in other ways? Turns out the latter, as evidence by this clunker-free album and the rapid assault onto the UK Singles Chart.
I was concerned, actually, when I heard the opening riff on "That's Not My Name" because it sounded to me like a rehash of Toni Basil, which wouldn't have worked because "Hey Mickey" was never, er, "my thing," but the song goes in a different direction, and for a chart-topping, devil-may-care pop single it has an agreeable level of variety and complexity. It's my least favorite track on the album, but since it's also the most popular one, the band's certainly doing something right here.
The lyrics and videos are what they are, but White and De Martino have gobs of talent, and if they carry their raw, effervescent attitude and musical inventiveness through multiple albums, I think they'll easily find themselves in a position not unlike the B-52s. That is, wildly popular and probably rich. Good luck to them. If you have eclectic tastes and like to manage iPod playlists that range from Beethoven to Rush to, well, this, then I definitely suggest checking it out.

Another great Album by John Mayer....for sure . He's got a lot of talent , and will be around the music business for many years to come . I have to admit.....I was a bit disappointed , with this Album.....oh don't get me wrong . He's very satisfying to listen to . But....I received this album for Christmas.... . I also have his album " Where The Light Is " . Nine out of the thirteen tracks on " Continuum " ....are duplications of those same tracks from " Where The Light Is " . Only difference , one is " live " one is studio recorded . I was looking for something new....from John , in the way of titles .

| Bland is an understatementThis album sure starts well. Gobbledegook and track two (that's how much I dislike this album) were good songs. Unfortunately Rasputin's previewer only let me listen two the first three tracks so I got suckered into buying it. Every song after track two is the same song, over and over with glacial melodies, incredibly slow tempo, etc. etc. I've heard more emotionally stirring muzak. Do not buy this album thinking it is a pop record. Do not buy it thinking that it is interesting music. Buy it only if you are out of Enya albums to buy and you want Enya without hooks.
