| An unforgettable cult band!"Three dog night" was one of these original bands whose musical arrangements, powerful originality and overwhelming combination of voices made of them one of the few white bands capable to match with the great bands of soul by then.
Their musical motifs were extremely quotidian and trivial if you may, even it might be said they were one of the most emblematic exponents of the urban reality, but standing aloof respect the great political and social affairs that were shocking the world. In this sense, their music was clearly a vehicle of evasion and - for better or worst - they unconsciously paved the way for the arrival of the disco music. As a matter of fact, it was literally impossible - in a simple musical party - to do without them. Themes such as "Celebrate," "Joy to the world", "Mama told me not come," "Eli's coming," "Easy to be hard" or "One" were referential themes.
They sculpted with golden letters their names in the history of the pop music of the early seventies.

This disc is the hits from 1967 to 1970 but also you will hear how The Beatles were maturing as a group and also changing with the times and yet could still belt out the best music ever created and music that would still find it's way to the top of the charts AGAIN. There will never be another Beatles. In these discs you will hear why. There is not a bad song on either collection. Originally released in 1973 three years after they had called it quits the four did come together to put theses two packages together (1962-1966 & 1967-1970). | This is AMAZING!!!! This is an AMAZING set, but the best part is the DVD of the concert done in the Wiltern Theatre in New York. (Not to say that the accompanying CD is by any means bad;it's an excellent recording for being live, and it's got fantastic energy because of it.) The concert DVD (taped for Michael's first PBS special) is awesome!!! Michael's singing is, as always, great, and his charisma and humor are nothing short of mesmerizing. Some of my favorite parts are when you get to listen to him talk to the audience, because you don't get to hear him talk as much as sing, but the singing is fantastic! And it has bonus matreial (Backstage Pass and "Song For You" featuring Chris Botti) that give you a good look at what goes on behind the scenes (with more hilarities from Mr. Buble that you're sure to enjoy). If you love listning (and watching!) this fantastic entertainer, you must get this!!!
